This past summer was very exciting for my wife and I. We were able to move back to the family farm house where I was raised. We are now the fourth generation to be living, working and raising cattle on the land. The farmhouse was originally built in 1954 by my grandfather. Since my grandparents and parents had both raised families in this house, we decided to renovate the original farmhouse rather than build a new one. Around February 2011 we started to look for a contractor that would be willing to take on the job. We met with several different contractors and after careful consideration, decided to go with Gerhard from Brost Developments. From the first time that we met with Aaron and Gerhard until the work was completed in the house, we had a great experience with Brost Developments and all of their sub contractors. All the work was done on time and on budget. The workmanship that went into our house was amazing and we are very happy with what has been done. The house is not only comfortable an cozy, but it has become more energy efficient. We are very happy with how it turned out and can’t wait to spend the rest of our lives and raise a family in this new, yet old house!

In the fall of 2009, my wife and I desired to upgrade from our family home of nearly twenty years. Browsing the market for a modern and attractive house, we immediately fell in love with one of the show homes from the 2009 Medicine Hat Parade of Homes. Brost Development Inc. built a bungalow style home with unique and practical features.
Norbert Klaiber from Signature Services Realty performed superbly in highlighting the exceptional benefits of this particular house. The house was built for energy efficiency with a state of the art cooling and heating system, water-efficient toilets, and spray foam insulation. It has received an 84 EnerGuide rating from the Government of Canada and a Platinum Built Green rating. My wife and I are pleased to note that our utility bills are now one third lower than they used to be.

In the spring of 2006 my husband Jamie and I purchased a piece of land outside the City of Medicine Hat, that we knew would one day be the location of our dream home. Over the next three years we scanned blueprints and talked for hours about what we wanted our home to look like, to feel like, and to be.
Finally in the spring of 2009 we had decided on a plan for our home, and began the search for the perfect contractor to build our new home. From the first phone conversation with Brost Developments, to our initial meetings, it quickly became apparent the Brost Developments was the contractor that we wanted to partner with to undertake the building of our Dream.
We had been dreaming about building our home for so long, that it was easy for us to be excited about the prospect of breaking ground and starting the house. However, what surprised us was how much enthusiasm both Aaron, Gerhard and then ENTIRE Brost team brought to the project. They all made us feel like our home was not only the most important home they were building, but the most exciting as well! Not once did I feel that we were not valued, in fact quite the opposite is true, in the busy world of construction Aaron and Gerhard always made time to listen to our requests, offer advice of their own, and make us feel like one of the team.
Throughout the entire construction process, from the breaking ground, right to the finishing carpentry at the end, we would find ourselves on site (sometimes with our two year old son) during the work hours, and without fail, every single time, not only the Brost team, but all the trades that they had hired to work at our house treated ALL of us with the utmost of kindness and respect, usually stopping to say “hi” and answering any questions that we might have. It was comforting to go out to the house, or receive a phone call from Aaron to hear the words, “I was thinking about this, and there is a way we can do/build it better”. I think that is one of the best things about working with Brost Developments, they continually have the customers best interests in mind, and they do not settle for “good enough” they are always striving for “better”.
Brost Developments truly helped turn our “Dream Home” into our reality, and we couldn’t be happier to be living in our new home. Every last detail was taken care of so we go to sleep at night happy and secure in the wonderful quality and craftsmanship of our home. As this was my first house I was a little clueless as to the building process.
